My Stilo just came back from it's second service. They said everything was fine.

Of course when driving the car back from garage it made some clinking noise when driving sounded like something was loose. Took it back this morning, and they told my gf the suspension anti-joint is broken on the passenger side. I presume this is the ant-roll joint.

Is it still safe to drive the car? We need to drive up to Yorkshire this afternoon.

Cheers,
EF

Thanks, just got back and still alive, just. But that was the mountain biking, not the Stilo :D

Month and a half later, and the Fiat garage just got the part in. Strange that it has taken so long, didn't thikn this was some sort of exotic part.

Of course now they claim it is just a coincidence that this broke whilst they were servicing it... and want to charge us for the part & for the fitting.

Does anyone know if it is easy to DIY this? Any pointers appreciated.

Cheers,
EF

I had an investigative look on sat, really easy to loosen nust with a long arm socket, but then didnt have a bloody spanny the right size so I could use a hax key which is required.

A month and a half is a bit OTT, I rang partco, ordered them and they were in that afternoon, although i couldnt get them till the day after. Only a tenner each to !

fiat quoted me £117 fitted for both drop links, but got one covered under the third year warranty already replaced and the other will be replaced by fiat next week, again under warranty

That will save you trying to get the buggers off and your blood pressure to well done (y)
