Had a look at some other threads but nothing with much detail on actually removing the door bump strips.

I'm replacing some of the clips for the passenger door side moulding but i can't get the damn thing off. I've pulled it as far as i can towards the rear of the car but it doesnt seem to be far enough back to release the clips.

Is there a technique to this or do I need to be more forcefull? Dont want to break more clips than Im replacing!

You guys who have colour coded the strips will know Im sure. Thanks

Hi, I totally agree, i colour coded mine few months back and broke at least 80% of the clips whilst removing strips. There is no knack to it as far as i could tell and not read anything on the threads.

I just bought all new clips at 50p each from dealers.

I've taken all 4 off our 5dr, and the passenger ones on my 3dr.

Those clips are c**p, on the 5dr I had about 80% snap on me. On my 3dr strangely, they came off without a problem.

THe best thing to do is start at the door edge you can get hold of (B-pillar), and gently pull it until it comes off. Be as even as you can with the pressure and you should be ok. If they do snap and fall into the door, there is a mastik to stop corrosion which should stop them rattling; if not, it's door trim off time!
