General Aaaargh! my new-to-me stilo leaks

picked up my 02 5dr 1.6 last night - woo hoo! loving it :slayer:
drives like a dream (have been using a now-14yr-old daihatsu sportrak for the last 5 years, but too much to do on it now. tho loved it to bits, would recommend them to anyone, but they are a bouncy ride lol)

...but...on the way back from dropping my daughter in to work i noticed a dark stain on the rear, passenger side column then another lighter damp mark on the same side front column.

bought it privately and can't get hold of seller yet

please, please someone tell me not to worry....it's a simple and inexpensive thing to fix!!!

Has it a sunroof?

i had the same stain (no sunroof)
a bit of upholstery cleaner got rid of that
it hasn't come back

yes - it has a wonderful sunroof! have you heard something about probs with em then? did ask a few questions of recommended dealers, who were really helpful, and doesn't often appear to be a prob with the roofs

will defo try upholstery cleaner, ta...tho the stain appeared following rain, so i pressume it will return with the next downpour

hi activematt, yep live just outside luverly lewes. you'd see me trolling, mostly, between lewes - peacehaven - hailsham and brighton in my grey 5dr dynamic...wey hey! will update my blog when i can get a spare mo.

the other thing, :idea: as it's only 4 yrs old, would a breech of the outershell/water leak be covered by the 12yr anti-perforation warranty?

Never personally had problem like this but I'd guess the sunroof drain outlet(s) are blocked.
