got told this at the garage today if u hold in the unlock button on ure keyfob the windows will come down and then u can stop it at desired level by lettin go of button. then if u want to put ure windows back up again hold in the lock button. clever stuff! i just tried it and it works. its useful so that u can put ure windows down from inside ure house on a hot day a while b4 u get in ure car so its nice and cool.

I got caught out with this by an old friend when I first bought my stilo not realising they did this window down thing with the key fob :p the crafty git had lowered my windows while I was useing his loo and when I went to the car to go home i found both the windows open "God did I panic" :bang: the result he wanted as he was in stiches watching me checking that nothing had been nicked :p Payback time oneday ;)

 good to hear we're not alone in this one PNL we used to be caught out with this until the thread with all the tricks appeared.

think it is useful if your not going straight out and you know the car will be hot can cool it down a bit before you get in it. and means if you get out of the car and have forgotton to close the windows you don't have to restart the car to get them back up

Apart from you making your car overheat :D I have to say the Steel Grey Metallic colour of our motors has been fantastic for keeping the motor cool during the hot summer

In fact the only the time mine started to get rather hot was when I fully opened the sky roof (dark seats) :(

It's a pity you can't pick which window you use. I use it when I'm waiting in the car for her indoors to do the shopping, it saves switching the ignition on, which we all f-cks the coils.

I've gotten into a lazy habit using this feature at Pay & Display carpark. I'll lock the car, go to the machine, get the ticket. Walking back to the car, I'll hold the unlock button down to lower the windows; stick the ticket to a window, then walk away holding the lock button down, then turning back to check the windows are fully done up.

My female friends always give me a "Oh Wow!" when I do it, how easily amused they are!

I have got my misses with this a few times. She'll park up and get into the flat (3rd floor) and put the key on the side and start putting the shopping away. I'll grab the keys aim out the flat window and fire down the car windows, tell her off for leaving them down and make her go back down and close them! She still hasnt' cottoned on!

Strikes when she does - you'll be doing your own shopping :p
