I recently purchased a stilo abarth selespeed and have used it for the last month or two without too many issues. I broke down on thursday with the automatic gearbox failure warning displayed on the lcd. The car stuck in 2nd and then when i tried the restart the vehicle it was attempting to go into gear but was crunching so I stopped that promptly. I managed to get towed home and realised the brake lights were stuck on. I was wondering after seeing the issues on the forum if that can cause the gears not to engage at all or if it just stops you using auto mode? before it did feel the clutch was slipping and it wouldn't automatically go into 3rd or 4th sometimes I would have to do it with the paddles .etc. I know the cam position sensor has failed and I need that doing so I don't know if it's related but it's worrying as the dealer said I'd need a new clutch the other day and now it's gone pop.

Is there any specialists preferably in yorkshire that I can trust to do this also as I'm not sure if I can afford £350 for a sensor change and god knows how much for a new clutch .etc.
