Went to a garage today as a/c not working. They tested system (free) and there is a bad leak. (I could not leave it as going on holiday)
The car is a 52 reg 1.8 3 dr.
The leak looks in an horrible place to get at, it is on the drivers side, right in the bottom of the well, directly below the headlamp.
I can just see two pipes converging (they look like the go int a junction box but can't see.
It looks as if the whole front end will have to come off to get to it. to see which one it is. 75 pound for one pipe 45 for the other.
then labour and re gassing
. Any one had this done? and how much am I looking at
