'Just went to open the bonnet and the release lever (under the dash) came orf in me 'and! Can anyone tell me how the plastic trim that runs above the carpet on the inner sill comes off? I've undone the one visible screw at the top (by the bonnet release lever hinge), but it must have some hidden clips. I don't want to break them to find out how I should have done it!

Sorted!

I had a beer and that obviously improved my courage 'cos i lifted the outer edge a little, ran my finger along under the edge (beer reducing the pain to tolerable levels), and hey presto! it popped off without breaking!

Where would we be without beer?

Undo the one screw (that you'd undone) and pull!

Start from the side towards the middle of the car is easier, because you can then unhook it from the bonnet release mechanism; honestly, it's as simple as that!
