Hi All

Just signed on, but been an interested reader for some time. Owned an 02 reg 1.8 3 door Dynamic for about a year. Bought 2nd hand from a Fiat Dealer. So far so good ish. Just laid out 500 quid on the 36k service and 4 new tyres...but otherwise mostly OK. Bought the car as i think its the best looking 3 door car hatch on the market (along with the Megane). Most of the other brands seem to think of the 3 door as the poor mans version of the 5 door ...But the Stilo is totally the opposite, fantastic looker in 3 door, bland as hell in 5.....anyway one of the ish problems is the visteon stereo....it has started to turn itself on and off continually..it frequently lets out a sickening pop and sometimes it loses all its settings and memory but then othertimes not....i have noticed the problem is worse when its hot, so i am guessing some internal overheat problem? Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know where i can get a 2nd hand replacement?

Sorry for the essay guys......Roll on the Stilo army!!!!!!:)

thanks guys..have to confess i have bought a facia adaptor from one of the ebay sellers....but i cant get it to fit properly....no matter how hard i try it just wont stay put.the visteon has metal fixing clips on the side...but this is just plastic and wont snap into place..so i guess i am going to have to spend a little more and perhaps buy one from fiat themselves...::confused:

Welcome (y)

Must be a dodgy fascia, i bought one from fiat, and it is all plastic, but went straight in no probs.

Wheres my 5 door crew. Sort him out!!!

oooops....kind of realised my original comment may have upset half the stilo owners (the 5 door variety) sorry guys:D .....what i meant was that the stilo 3 door is almost a completely different car to the 5 door (in looks) as opposed to just being the base low cost version of the 5 door, like on the focus (unless you slash out for the sports version)... i've always owned supposedly unliked cars (my last was a Rover 827sli fastback, which i loved) and have always had good reliabillty..maybe i have been lucky so far...but long may it continue......anyway...one last question....my aircon has ceased to work....the main dealer has diagnosed that a pipe has split (the one that goes to the radiator supposedly) and has quoted £205 to replace it, does that sound like a fair price or should i go elsewhere?
