Hiya,

was washing and polishing at the weekend and got racked off when i realised the extraordinary amount of stone chips i have on the lower 10cm of the bonnet of my multiwagon chariot, i was wondering, has anyone ever come across bonnet stone chip deflectors for stilos anywhere or a kit to make one?

Cheers

You can buy a paint protector film, halfords sell it, and it's available on the internet; think Folia Tec make it.

I have noticed many fiat owners complain of poor quality and durability of the paintwork on their cars I have had the complete front of my car resprayed when I had my body mods done and the difference in durability is noticeable after arguing with the odd grit wagon a few months back IMO its the paint that is used nowadays with preference give to acrylic paint over cellulose paints I am sure the finnish with cellulose paints are much more durable and easier to maintain :)

its the old 'they dont make em like they used to thing' but its so true, my dad had an old e-reg jag and that had a car go up the side of it, no scratches, just dents,

ive noticed a few posts on here about paint problems. The pain in the bum is that mine is in 'pain in the arse to blend' grey, argh

Mine's Steel Grey but I've found the Fiat touchup kit does a fair job.

Strangly enough Argonaught we have the same coloured cars [except for the wheel space ;) ]and I think the fiat touch up is a lousy match :(

Mines the dark grey, i read somewhere on here that ppl have had a hard time blending with the dark grey

Would this account for your respray then Phil :p :D

My car resembled a pepper pot on the front end when I bought it and on consultation with the body shop they confirmd what I already thought about Fiat's paint finnish its CRAP so when I had the kit fitted he did a total front end respray for me for £250 and thats good for around here another guy wanted £400 for the same front end repaint :)
