Wimp... no pain no gain! Seriously though if you've only had the car 3 years then you won't have paid its worth yet, so if you trade it in your only going to loose even more money.
The very fact it's not depreciating very much is all the more reason to hang on to it. Driving a car of low resale value is actually quite a good idea since you can dispense with comprehensive cover and if you've been saving your pennies then you should be in a position to buy another whenever you want.I had it since new (53 plate) . Got a trade-in figure last year (£1500) so it's not going to lose much now - a few hundred opposed to a few thousand. So we are getting near the point of cost of repairs exceeding value of car.
