Mum's 1.6 02-plate went in for its 2nd MOT, and they've found a gearbox oil leak. They're going to look at it more in-depth tomorrow, but they've basically said this:
1. Either it's a main gearbox seal leak, in which case they need to drop the suspension, drop the gearbox out and replace the seal, or
2. If it's from the "bellows" it won't be as bad.

Anyone had this / got any ideas? Bit bad for a 4yr old car with 28k!!!

My brothers Stilo (1.6 02reg 60k) has just had the same news today from Fiat when put in for service. Quote to fix (including new front disks and cambelt) £1200

News is that, if it's going to cost lots of money (also the Electronic Power Steering Fault is back), the Stilo and Dad's 5-Series will be traded in for a new 3., or even worse, a 1-Series!! Ahhhhhhhh!!!!
