Now that I'm suitably p****d off with the Stilo deveoping new faults every other week I'm seriously considering replacing it.

Anyone had any experience with current prices ?

Mine is a

3Dr Dynamic, 5 Disc Multichanger, Met Paint, 18,500 miles.
Nov 2002, 52 Plate

We picked our 5dr 02 plate Active with 14500 miles on for £6995 in July so I wouldn't expect you will get much more than that on a private sale.

Glass's guide reckons the following for you motor as a trade-in

Part-exchange Price:
Excellent condition:
£6080

Average condition:
£5470

Below average condition:
£4850

I have a drink problem...only one mouth but two hands!

1.6 Active 5 door in Crystal Green.

Got offered £5,800 as a p/x.

This has to have the worst depreciation I have ever seen.

Good riddance to it !!!

Stilo 1.6 Dynamic 3Dr
Crystal Green

New one costs £7393 and you got a £5800 offer on your old car? I'd be interested to hear what did you really expect?

Stilo'04, Loden Green, 17" alloys, 8spkr "hifi" system, debadged, tinted windows.

Why is it going? Is it really that bad? What will you replace it with? We'll be sad to see you go!:(

FIAT Stilo Sport. Pretty Much Bog Standard Really. Rear Roof Spoiler,
Sill Protectors, Aluminium Foot Pedals, Eibach 30mm Drop Springs,
Starsky & Hutch Stripes, Ambipur Air Freshener.

As far as I'm concerned 15 trips to the dealer in 15 months is a disgrace for a modern car.

Faults include

Water Leaks
Suspension (more than once)
Body Computer (more than once)
Drivers Door Lock
Passenger Door Lock (more than once)
Airbag Failure

Above all that the shoddy service from the dealer and Fiat UK has left me very angry.

I'm replacing it with a BMW 3 Series Compact. A bit more expensive I know but I can finance it for the same monthly payment as i'm paying for the rapidly depreciating Stilo.

As far as I'm concerned Fiat must have p****d off all the people who bought a Stilo when they were first released by dropping the prices so dramatically. 55% depreciation on value over 15 months !!!!!

Stick with the Stilo, they're pukka, ok they have a few niggles, but it aint that bad!
