I was just wondering what average consumption everyone was getting on their cars. I would be interesting to see. I'll start off then.

1.6 5 door dynamic, mixed driving 60% non mototrway 40% motorway and seem to be getting about 33 mpg. I did think I would get slightly higher TBH maybe about 35.

What about everyone else.

Cheers

1.6 3door consumption is about 11litres in 100km when driving in city but as soon as start pushing the car the consumption easyly goes up to 12litres. on motorway about 10 litres with preety fast driving.

I'm lucky if I get 27mpg from my 1.6

On a motorway, maybe middle 30s

Glad you brought this one up, I filled up today, I brim it every Friday, I have done 121 miles from last Friday, it cost me £26 to brim it today and the trip computer says I got 24.9mpg!

121 miles @ 24.9mpg = £26

Fantastic fuel economy, eh?

I had a Brava prior to the Stilo with exactly the same engine and it was just as bad, if you want good fuel economy you should have bought a diesel.

I typically get pretty close to manufacturers MPG on the combined cycle. So the heat is on, so to speak!

My Saxo VTS Combined was 44mpg, the best i ever got was 40mpg, but i typically averaged 38mpg, and that was spanking the car now and again.

The 1.2 Active i'm picking up on Monday says 44mpg on Combined, so i'll be aiming for 40mpg.

If its far less than that i'll be well peeved seeing as my diesel hit a regular 40mpg.

The manufacturers combined figure is 38.7 mpg for the 1.6 16v.
The 1.2 is 44.8 mpg combined,
the 1.8 is 35.3 mg combined,
the 2.4 abarth is 28.8 mpg combined
and the JTD is 52.3 mpg combined

ps is the 1.6 the same engine as was in the 1.6 bravo/a??

I get about 45mpg in my JTD80. Most of my journeys are around town and no more than 2 miles. On longer runs the economy shoots up but I haven't done many longuns to calculate consumption yet.

I drive mine quite hard and seem to be getting about 34mpg. I do a 54 mile return trip to work each day (40 miles on the M69 at 90'ish mph and 14 miles in heavy trafic on the A5460) which is good. A tankfull lasts about 365 miles or thereabouts. I try to run it on Optimax or BP Ultimate. Put a tankful of normal unleaded in on Monday and could really feel the difference!!

Our 1.6 Dynamic seems to hover at about 35mpg, which is OK I guess. For us it's much better than the 20mpg that the 12 year old BMW325i it replaced was giving us ;)

Reset your mileage/thingy/computer to cancel out that initial 18mpg. I watched my mpg slowy crawling up for weeks before I reset mine, it was at 15mpg when I got it.

mmm... that would be nice[8D]
Unfortunately on my P97 the computer consists of a trip counter, pencil and paper.;)
Know what you mean though, the first time I calculated my mpg I mistakenly added in the first tank of fuel, (car empty on purchase), and nearly fell off my seat.[:0]
