Went to the garage this morning, to bring my car for its first service.
Talked to the people in the garage about the ConnectNav. My colleague has a Stilo MultiWagon Active that is 2 months newer than mine and he has software version 7.1. My system is running on 7.2 and has the voice recognition working.
The mechanic told me that release 7.2 is not officially released on the ConnectNav or SatNav (maybe only in Holland), and that I am lucky in having it. And also that there is no upgrade available for my colleague.
Anyone else around running on 7.2? Or had experiences with upgrading the ConnectNav/SatNav??

Also a small question, my italian is not that well. If I look to the list of interesting sites the list comes up in italian, however everything else is in dutch. The garage told me to try to run the setup once again. First setting it to a complete different language and then back to dutch again. Anyone else has this issue? And resolved??

I too have the ConnectNav and mine is on 7.1 and has been since i got it new in August last year. I was told by my dealer that there will probably be only a few updates for the ConnectNav where as there are quite a few for the Nav+. Though i am surprised you have the Voice recognition working it is supposedly not available on the ConnectNav system well thats what it says on mine:
"Function not available"
My ConnectNav is actually going to be replaced because of language problems, I tried to reset the language because i no longer get speech when using the nav and the set up keeps failing so the dealer is replacing the whole unit for me.

You have the ConnectNav+ and i have the Connectnav system that is why you have a different sofware version.

I'm amazed that Fiat actually produce 2 different versions of firmware - I would have expected the firmware to be common across the different platforms.

I collected my Stilo on september 11th and my colleague collected him somewhere in November. So maybe I am lucky in having the 7.2 software version. My speechrecognition is functioning maybe not always flawless but it works somehow. It works on the navigation, telephone and the radio/cd/cd-changer.

I setup the system in English without using the CD, now at least the speech of the system is still in dutch and the menus in english. Now at least I can somehow know what I am looking for because the english terms for me are more familiar than the italian.

It is a pitty that the support for the system is very poor on the ConnectNav. No support from Fiat and still waiting for an answer of Magneto Marelli. Found some issues that Navtech explains to be manufacturer related, but don't know where to send them to.

At least the system is a lot more pleasant to drive with than the roadbook on the lap I used before.
