Anybody know where to start on removing a front strut, I see only a single bolt attached to the mounting dome in the engine bay. The rest I am cofortable with. Cmon T14086, I need you again.

Thats easy my little yellow friend look at the top and you will see that an allen key fits inside the bolt thats sticking up its usually about 7mm the allen key will hold that still while you undo the nut is that all you want

Do the fat springs go front or back?

Phil, just took off one strut, easy but the spring that came off it is so long and such a wide diameter it doesn't look like any in the box?
You are talking about a front strut I take it ? now the old one will be longer as the new one is -30mm am I right or wrong
Boz if you look at the springs the back ones should be tapered smaller dia to the top and the wire will also be thinner in diameter than the wire used in the fronts the dia of the spring is about 5.5 ins on the front spring you should see a big differance in the two sets

Yep, front it is, Eibach -30mm but the original springis now a good 100cm longer. Just called Eibach, code on the spring says V goes front, HA rear. There you go, cheers Phil.

One side anyway, offside seized so had to put the old spring back on the nearside. Absolutely fuming, Midland Fiat are going to do it the weekend which completely fooks all my plans for Brooklands. I put so much effort into getting the car ready I feel sick.
First dealer never sent my springs.
Second dealer sent them and lost them in transit.
17MM strut bolt defeated 4 hours work.
I am destined not to get this car sorted.
