Ecu

Hi
Is there a way to reset the ecu without taking it to dealer and if so will it clear the faults aswell

the only way to reset the ECU yourself is to disconnect the battery for about 15-30 mins and reconnect it again, but make sure you have the code for the radio before you do.

what faults are you getting? maybe someone on the forum could help you out

I'm not 100% sure but i thought there was a way to reseting it by opening and closing the door (sounds stupid i know) I cant remember exactly what it is, cause i never had to do it.

Maybe someone whose had to do it can spread a bit more light on it

EDIT: Just searched about it and thats for reseting the selespeed not the ecu damn

Some faults you can erase others you cant,like has been said what is the fault?

Hi, Dropped car off at the dealers, they reset the ecu cleared all the faults and never recorded any of them after i asked for a list of faults when i dropped it off.

Ask for a printout...they are stored in examiners recorder function
