Hi

My 52plate 1.2 Stilo Active has been with a local dealer since 13th March as it was leeking coolant. All that is required is a smalll Pipe which is now on back order with no date of delivery available. I wrote to customer services on 21st March and received an acknowledgement a week later. However after being given a seventh date from my dealer which has been cancelled I telephoned them on 10th April only to be told that they had not acted on my initial letter except t issue an acknowledgement. I have been told just to keep phoning to enquire on the possible delivery.
I have already paid out £500 in hiring a car but I have asked FIAT twice to consider my request for a courtesy car in light of their failure to address my initial complaint and there failure to be able to supply parts for a car just over 3 1/2 years old, but they have repeatedly failed to call me back.
Has anyone had a similar experience or can offer any advice. Feel I am just hitting my head off a brick wall.
Many Thanks

I would suggest finding an alternative dealer or even going non-Fiat. You could have got the pipe from a breakers by now. If you want it done quickly lose it in the dealers and shout like a lunatic. Takes balls but it has the desired effect.

Dealer says he at the mercy of FIAT and cant do anything. Have tried a few online independants but no success.

Dealer even tried to order a new radiator as this part came with it but again on back order!

Mate Fiat are not interested in their 'cars' even in warranty.

I am now out of warranty and they couldn't care less and me or my car, so it seems. I lodged a complaint with Fiat 'customer service' 2 weeks ago, and have not had a call back yet from 'head office' to even talk about it. The Fiat 0800 717000 waste of time tell me that 'head office' will call me, but can't say when. I have phoned 4 times asking what the hell is going on and still nothing.

Fiats alleged 'customer service' is a waste of space, they truly have no idea what it even means, let alone implementing a proper service that can actually help customers.

It is no use complaining to the call centre in whatever Indian city they are in, they can't do anything.

I'm getting really bored with it now, maybe that's what they want.... so I stop calling. It will never happen. Anyone know where 'head office' is, and want to go en-masse and picket with loud hailers to show our utter contempt at their pathetic excuses? Customer power cannot be underestimated. - - -except by Fiat of course.

And on a complete flipside.. I had an issue with the engine at the start of my FIAT STILO relationship, they were fannying about at the dealership, weren't gonna give me a courtesy car or anything, and it was down to the service that they'd given the car, that broke it.
I used the FIAT website to lodge a complaint. I was called within 15minutes, they told me that there was very little that FIAT could do with the car itself, but they would contac the area manager for the dealership.
Lo and behold, the next day, I get a phonecall from a district manager for Perry's who discusses the issue with me for a while, and says he'll call me back.
Later on that day, the cheif technician of my local perry's called me, told me they'd acquired a courtesy car and could book me in the following day for repair.

The next day, whilst on my way home from teh dealership, I got 2 phonecalls. One from the district manager, the other from FIAT customer care, both checking to see if my car had been "sorted".

I've had bad times with them, but then i've had good times too.

It's complete ******** what everyone has said, FIAT paid attention to me, they ,gave me £200 reimbursement in vvouchers, whcih have been wisely spent :), long live FIAT UK i say :D

Please don't call everyone elses experiences ********. It is clearly not, as it is actually factual. Well mine is, I haven't made anything up at all. It is all true, even if it is shockingly unbelievable.

You must have been lucky.

I think he meant that the reputation that people gave fiat is <whatever word he said> as with all manufacturers there are good and bad.

Guys, chill a little, i've had awful trouble with Fiat, and found their customer service to be rubbish, however let me offer you a peice of advice, when you call the careline, DEMAND, and i mean DEMAND you are either put through to head office and / or DEMAND they give you the direct number for head office.
I'll name drop here too, one of the guys at head office is called MARTYN WEIGHTMAN, ask for him or his colleagues. Also make a note of every email, phone call, letter etc you send including time and dates (copies are best!!!).

Also whilst onto planet Fiat:bang: , ask them for the automobile watchdog number, and tell them, honestly, you may have heard of a double progned attack, i use as many as possible, PRESSURE THEM, rememeber they make the car and give it the warranty, make them own upto it.
BTW just to add, always get the names of technicians etc and make note of everything they say, as later down the line, they will always modify/change/lie/deny what they say
