General Opinions of the 1.2 Stilo wanted

i remember my first drive of the stilo - i went from sei to stilo and felt like i was floating in the stilo - it was a 1.9JTD 5 door with the softer suspension, still i got over it @ 120mph

Yeah i've noticed the 3 door has quite firm suspension. My Escort TDi actually held the road quite well, had very light steering but plenty of feedback. But even after 1 day i'm now slowly getting used to the Stilo.

One good point, i never got moaned at by my dad when i dropped by to show it to him! 29 years old and he can't trust my own judgement! I was expecting "Why replace the old car, you've spent so much on it already!" But what i got was "NICE COLOUR!, right open it up then!" In he hopped and he was well impressed! Right up until i sayed "no Aircon" though! Only downside of the 1.2. [?]

My three door is even stiffer now I changed the springs and bugger does it go round corners!

I'm actually quite shocked how well my 1.2 corners, never so much as squeeled a tyre yet and i've out cornered some more "exotic" motors recently!

I've also got used to the light steering, it feels just right now, only problem is my Mini feels like its god solid steering! :I

2003 3 Door Stilo 1.2 Active, Sassy Grey, 5 disc CD Changer, plastic wheel trims - and 41.7mpg average so far. Love it, Oh yes!

Ah, the reason your goes well round corners Stiloboy is cause there's not enough power there to get those wheels squealing or to lose any traction!:p

No, I thought it was up in the air when I bought it, it was squishy, wallowy and handled crap, now it's very good? I only dropped it by 30mm, this is how it should come out of the factory!
