hi folks, this is my first ever post, i actually drive a clio but my father purchased a 53 plate stilo active two months ago, around two weeks ago late at night when checking all the cars were locked i discovered that both the driver and passenger windows were down half way, asked my father why they were open and he was adamant that he had left the car with the windows up....now today i hear a car horn being blown, so upon going out to the driveway we discovered that my father couldnt get out the car, all the doors had locked up??? it took him giving me the key to open the drivers door manually, anyone ever heard of these problems?

regards

Ally

Hi

Welcome to the forums, you'll find a good group of people here.

I've not heard of these problems before nor have I encountered such problems on my Stilo, but I'm sure someone here will have and will help you as soon as they've read your post.

Cheers.
TC.

I once left my car in a multi-story car park, with all the windows closed. When I returned, several hours later, I could hear an alarm. As I got closer I realised it was my car! There was no sign of the driver's window, but there was no broken glass. It was then I realised the window was just open! [:0]

I am 100% sure it was closed when I left the car and luckily I escaped any foul play.

It has not happened again and I am at a loss to explain it.

I've heard that some Stilo's will unlock their drivers door by itself. If this occurs, its the Drivers Door Node that needs replacing (apparantly).

As for the windows of BOTH front doors opening, hummm. Maybe a body computer fault?

:slayer:hi ...if you keep button pressed in on key fob ,,,,the windows open !!!!!!!found out on here in "things i didnt know about stilo "...perhaps when locking car u left pressed bit too long ...

Yeah if you hold down the lock/unlock button on the remote keyfob it winds up/down the Windows. Took me about a year to figure this out though. Thought my car was playin tricks on me lol

remember if you press the lock button twice the car deadlocks ie cant open doors from either in or outside. it will do this from inside maybe the lock button was pushed when going to start the car, just push unlock as normal should let you out. if youve got the will to plough through the manual its all there. hope this might help

I discovered the auto windows whilst washing my car. Half way through hosing it when the drivers window started to open. Then realized the key was in my back pocket pushing against my phone, must get out of skinny jeans!lol
