Hi,
My First post.
I have a Stilo Estate (wagon).
I have just noticed that when I switch on my headlights, even on dip, I can hear a thump noise from the under the bonnet every 2 seconds or so.

It is a consistant beat. When i lift the bonnet, it sounds more like a winscreen motor beat/noise.

It does not happen on side lights, only on dipped headlights or main beam.

Any ideas?

Hmm, possibly a light leveller playing up! I have issues with my n/s/f one, but mine just makes a constant buzzing noise

What is a light leveler?

My issue sounds like its from N/S/F too

It is the motor within the lamp unit, that levels the lights - have you tried adjusting them using the switch on the dashboard, to see if the lights move up and down - park close to a wall, facing it, to check
