I have a metallic steel grey Stilo JTD and was looking at getting a different plate so i've attached one that I may get, what do you think? It's from Cheapest Plates.

I also have the old FIAT badge on the back of the car and I'm going to get the new badge soon and stick it in the middle of the boot, I was also thinking of getting an abarth badge and putting it below the "JTD" logo.

Do you think this would look silly? or any suggestions of where to put it?

Cheers

Dan

in my opinion abarth badges are just for abarth models? Why do you feel the need to put one on a JTD? Sorry this is just my opinion....

although i understand if it comes attached to abarth aftermarket sideskirt? But branding you car up as something its not :nono:

I agree, but then again I wouldn't even match my rub strips as that too is Abarth territory.

I matched my bump strips and I have the abarth skirts and the 17" wheels so my car looks quite abit abarthy .... I dont have the badge though and would not put one on as my car is not a abarth.

I see where these guys are coming from (advertising your car as something it's not), but at the end of the day if you want it, you get it.

Having said that i wouldn't have one unless i had the abarth.

I thought people would say this, I like the plate (probably keep the font as standard). but I wasn't sure about the badge, I think it does look a bit silly now (n)

I would have love to have had an abarth but with me being only 19 the insurance and petrol would have killed me! so I had to stick with a JTD for now.

My next car will be either a Stilo abarth salespeed or a grande punto :D when i get a bit older and build up my NCB.

I want to start modding my current stilo but I dont want to do too much too it, just small mods (if you get what I mean).

Any suggestions? I was thinking off some Stilo kickstrips?

right the plates have come today but! the screws on the stilo are on the outer edge (over the logo).

I got some double sided sticky stuff with the plates but will these hold the plate on? , shall i just drill some new holes in the front bumper? the boot im not quite sure about because of rusting.

Any advice would be great!

Cheers

You can get double sided tape from auto factors for sticking on your plate but if your worried about them falling off screw them on (y)

I used the double sided tape to stick them on and looks like they wont be coming off in a hurry(y)

I've also used some filler in the screw holes in the boot to stop water getting in and rusting.

Will there be any problems with the sticky pads when it comes round to the MOT?

As mentioned everyone is entitled to do what they want to their car, so do what you want mate! Just expect some car bores to comment! ;)

I was in two minds about the abarth badge on the boot, but im not doing it now just getting a new FIAT badge on it.

next thing is to order some kickplates with "STILO" written on them, then maybe some new alloys?

I like the look of some multispkoes and was thinking of getting some of them maybe with a smoked effect on them(y)

What size do most people fit with aftermarket alloys? i was thinking of maybe 17"
