M10 A and B is the picture below; I hope this make sense...

No, the ECU IS M10 A and B ; or, more likely, M10 A and B are the connectors into the ECU.

am i right in saying a new ecu is around 200 new and 50 2nd hand?

Which ECU? there's several on the Stilo.

thanks for replying. i dont know where to start... i thought there was just 1 ECU, it started with an 'engine fault' error coming up so it went to the garage had a spark plug and 1 new coil pack fitted, the error message went but its happened again i dont know how to begin to sort this problem.

It's unlikely to need a new ECU.

Get the garage to read the fault codes and post them here.
