does anybody in here now what the difference is betwen the 80 hp and the 100 hp jtd

hope anybody do

det ved jeg santa kan kun finde beskrivelse af 80 i den orginale værkstedhåndbog men de er der begge i reservedelskataloget

men den gir vel ikke 20 heste alene

I presume the JTD100 (should be multijet?) is a europe-only car with the same engine as the UK spec Mk2b Punto HGT multijet?

If so, the 100bhp model has multijet rather than unijet (although that won't make a specific difference to the power output). The 80bhp JTD has an intercooler (same engine as my old Punto); the difference is down to a variable geometry turbo.

In simple terms, the 'vanes' change angle at different engine speeds; shallow angle for low-rev response, steep angle for high-rev punch (y)

The 100bhp JTD that was available in the Stilo was not multijet, only unijet. So it's not the same as in the Punto HGT Multijet.
I believe it has been removed from the Stilo range now (along with the 115bhp JTD), and has been replaced by the 120bhp multijet, most likely because of the euro4 norm.

But the difference between the 80bhp and the 100bhp JTD's could be something as simple as a different ECU.
