See this in auto express today about the stilo having another facelift, not too keen on that new front grille to be honest

Why not the 140bhp Multijet used in other countries, why not the150bhp Multijet also available in somecountries for the Stilo??

Bigger engine = more expensive to buy = less customers

Simple as

Fiat must envisage not selling many of these within the UK hence not bringing in the engine although it is still a shame i guess. I dont know the actual figures of stilo diesel sales within UK, but if its not perhaps as big of a performer as expected, or is like steady sales but not spectacular then i suppose its not economically good for fiat to bring it in.

And seen as though fiat auto made a profit for the first time in a while, why change a current winning formula

It's the same size engine, I expect (though don't know) that the MJTD in the stilo UK is the same as other stilos just demapped? Maybe not, I don't know, I bet Nige does (or JTD monkey).

And your equation doesn't tell the whole picture, offering a higher spec engine can open up more customers, not lose existing possible ones. Most competitors I expect offer 'high' spec engines, the megane has the 150bhp 2.0 dci, the VW has similar etc. etc.

Thats what im trying to say, the customers can consider other makes and models, they will have more choice if they brought it in. Although they could gain, i would say they would loose more.

But the main thing is they made profit overall, so why change a winning formula?

Maybe it will be out in the new stilo in a years time and they are teasing us.;)

And renault meganes diesel is 1.9 not 2.0 and 130bhp not 150bhp :p

Erm, no, the dci comes in 1.5, 1.9, 2.0 and 2.2. The new 2.0 is 150bhp, trust me....

You have a choice in the Megane of 1.5dci (86/106) 1.9dci (130 - may still have the 120, not sure) and 2.0dci (150)

How can you say they would lose more, you are mearly guessing out of nowhere?

I don't need to, I have the brochure at home, the conversation with the Renault dealer and I have numerous websites such as:

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/previews/63821/renault_mgane_sport_dynamique.html

It came with the recent facelift. Do your research ;) The Renault site obviously hasn't been updated yet :)

Well that shows what a gash company renault is if they havent been updating their websites, completely misleading customers ;)

When you ask your renault dealer mate about the aircon missing in the clio, ask hime about the website too ;)

Where as Fiat have a great website which omits options like aircon on their brand new car...

Maybe you can't order the 150bhp for a week or so, hence no update.

Must be a really "gash" company with 10% sales of cars world wide for the Renault group (Ren+nissan)
