This morning when I opened my 3 door Stilo, the passenger door would not shut, and because it was cold I sprayed de-icer in the door mechanisms, but it still wouldn't shut, then when I pushed the door too and locked the car, I pushed the door and it shut! So the door will not open from the inside or outside, but I have just tried again (about 2 hours after) and the door opens! I wonder if this problem will reoccur if I don't get it checked out, has anybody else experienced problems with the doors??

This is apparentley a recall, described in other pages on the site.

I think it ivolves stripping down the door and putting anti freeze in the cable, mine is booked into the dealer next week.

I have had the same problem, although only on the drivers side door. The dealer replaced the door handle and cable a week and a half ago and so far it is working fine.

thanks, I took mine to a dealer yesterday and they never mentioned a recall, just said he'd sprayed the mechanism and if it happens again, they'll fit a new mechanism, but they never said a handle. I'll book mine in before Xmas.
