Fuel Filler Flap

Now that the colder and wetter weather is with us I would recommend that you give your filler flap mountings a bit of a spray with WD40.

I only mention this as when I came to fill my car up the flap was extremely hard to move, and with it being plastic I was worried it would snap off. A quick spray with the good old WD40 and we're back to normal.

And since this "incident" a Stilo has turned up in my office carpark with its fuel filler cap missing. Me thinks it suffered from the same problem and an impatient owner!

Oh dear, why do we have to think of these things? I thought I was on to a good thing after a winter with an Alfta GTV (erm, the doors just DON'T work when it's cold). Bugger - I'm going to have to stick to the (very sensible) Volvo this winter...... shucks![:(!]

Why didn't they want to give you a replacement under warranty? After all it is a design fault.
