Seems a bit quiet in here lately with no one experiencing warning lights but then again, thinking back, any warning lights I've had, then there HAS been a problem. I've had indicator, brake light, fog light failure in quick succession and they were all working ok but there WAS a fault in in the contact to the light assembly so the computer was telling me "something's up" quite correctly.

Air bag warnings (which I've never had), although the air bags themselves may be ok, again the computer is telling us that something isn't quite right in the circuit and it hardly ever seems to be wrong. It may have trouble describing EXACTLY what's wrong but that's not the car's fault

Most of the problems seem to be bad connector contacts but imagine leaving your favourite PC or laptop out in the driveway for a few nights in all wind and weathers and see what happens to that

So what I'm saying is that I haven't experienced the Stilo telling me there's a problem when there isn't one so that's a good system ...isn't it?

I really like the "Ding! Danger of Ice!" which is happening quite a lot lately. It can be quite warm at 6 degress then I drive down into a valley where the temperature plummets and "Ding! Danger of Ice!" Why thanks very much!

you only got to say those words [warning lights] and Doh :bang: you will get a flood of questions at the moment my stilo is at the body shop but it went there with the engine management light sitting there smileing at me so that has to be sorted on its return i found the D4 conector but couldnt seperate it so i suppose it fiat time [main dealer ] unless someones got any ideas  in the meanwhile just sit back and wait for the flood :D

"Ding! Danger of flood!" :) Haven't met that one yet.
But that's what I'm saying. Your engine management light is on because it's detected there's something wrong with the engine management. If you read off the fault codes it'll do even more to pinpoint where the problem is. It may sort itself out if it's a poor contact at a connector or it may not but it's sensed a fault and isn't crying "Wolf!" "
"Ding! Danger of wolf!"

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, and I'm sure a question like this has been asked before, so please excuse me:
We have a Punto Dynamic (02 plate) and the airbag system failure light has been on for a few weeks now. I'm assuming that this needs immediate checking? If we take it to a Fiat dealer and theres no problem, no doubt they will charge us. So is there anything anyone can suggest to ask/do before we take it to the dealer? to stop us from being charged an arm + leg ?

 try posting in the punto section you'll have more luck there.

Ding! Old thread warning!
Just type in air bag in the search and you'll get loads of info as to what to try to save us typing it out again but of course, that's for Stilos and things may be in different places on the Punto. If you still have problems after that then feel free to ask
