iv waited for months on that damn sight for the perfect car(1.9, black, 30k miles under 6k - would like traction ctrl, A/C, sky roof colour coding 17 alloys) havnt seen one for months, now there are 2, both exactly what i am after.

1) 2002 FIAT Stilo 1.9 JTD Dynamic,
31500 miles, 3 Doors,Black With Black Interior, 17 Inch Alloys, Radio/CD, Full Length Sunroof, Aircon, PAS, Trip Computer, Drivers, Passenger and Side Airbags, ABS, Traction Control, Rear Parking Sensors, Electric Mirrors and Windows. Recent Fiat Service, MOT till Sept 2006. An excellent,powerful,stylish car thats cheap to run and insure. No canvassers.. £5,600. ono.


2) 2003 Fiat Stilo 1.9 JTD Dynamic,
3 Doors, Manual, Hatchback, Diesel, Metallic Black. Power assisted steering, ABS, Alloy wheels, Cruise control, Air conditioning, Leather upholstery, Leather seats, Park distance control, 6 Airbags, Traction control, Electric windows, Electric mirrors, Rear Spoiler, Immobiliser, Remote locking, Foglights, Adjustable seats, Adjustable steering column/wheel, Head restraints, Folding rear seats, Radio/CD, Rear headrests. £5,994.


had they both waited another 4-5 months then id be arranging meetings & test drives as well speak. hell if they werent 100+ miles away id go and have a look at them anyway.

edit: was going to 'bold' all the specs i liked, but then i had a 2nd look, and id made 90% of the words bold.

Funny that - thought it was just me

When I went "shopping" for my Stilo, after test driving a 1.6 and a JTD at 2 local-ish Fiat dealers I quickly knew what I fancied (3 dr JTD with a/c, sky roof, low mileage, one owner etc etc) but according to them and pretty much every Fiat dealer I spoke to "up north" such a thing was highly unlikely to exsist.... but did I fancy buying this car instead - - blah blah you get the picture

I found my Stilo via "Fish4" and bought it unseen (after a thorough RAC inspection) although the dealer (not Fiat) emailed many many pictures emailed to me and was incredibly helpful. Although it was a minor hassle, the travel from Aberdeenshire via Prestwick to Stanstead collecting the car and driving it back might sound daft but I "saved" somewhere in the region of £1200 (after costs) over what it would have cost me for a similar car up here. Ofcourse, it was fun driving my new toy back home again

So it's worth hunting around for the right car - and (in my case) travelling the length of the country to get it What's a hundred miles in order to get the right car?
