hi happy new year!,i have had a on-going problem with head unit and getting cd-changer to work..booted the lot now gone to new stereo facia and put a standard cd/mp3 player in it,but now the new cd/radio dose not power up?
the cd/player is fine becuse fitted to differant car and works fine ,but when plugged into my stilo dead as a door nail!!ahh .same plugs and everthing.
am i missing something ?

all the best Roger.
p.s great start to 2006....lol.....

You have to connect the red and yellow wires together on the stereo loom as bozzy says. The stilo's stereo receives it's ignition on signal from the CAN line, hence doesn't have the ignition +12V feed (although models fitted with Connect+ do have this).

great thanks for help.. not done it yet but will do in the morrning ..so must get this right put the red and yellow together or change them around ie red in yellow hole and yellow in red ...lol..

cheers...

The loom side will be red. The connector that came with the HU, no yellow lead? What model HU is it?
hi again , the cd came with no lead the cd/radio is blaupunkt madrid mp35.
i was told by blaupunkt no lead needed just plugs stright in .
cheers rog.

I would be amazed that any head unit could just plug into any Fiat as they suggest. You need an ISO connector from the head unit if I am not mistaken. Somebody here might know different but I have never heard of it. Hang around, somebody will know. In the meantime I will do a search for the ISO.
