My 24k / 2 year service is due in a month, first quote from local Perrys Fiat dealer is £199, reasonable? I don't have aircon.

Couple hundred doesn't sound too bad to me for a 2nd year service. More involved than the 1st year.

My father has a new Ford Fiesta and was charge £175 for the 1st service and I thought Fiat/Alfa was pricey. I've told him to take it to the local friendly mechanic from now on.

Is it worth marking anything to see if it gets changed as on my last service I don't think they touched a thing!

Had another quote from my nearest dealer £270.....£70 more!! for same job.

I have the same car but a 3dr and it cost me 217 punds :)

It seems a common misconception that you have to go to a main dealer for servicing im sure you can use an indpendent as long as they use dealer parts but dont know how dealer would react for warrnty repairs :chin:

Dealer can't say anything, aslong as book is stamped/fiat parts used by VAT registered garage it's fine.It will be checked if a 3rd yr warranty claim is made so make sure independent garage is vat reg or you will be liable in a claim situation.

As T14086 states

EU law states that as long as OE service schedule and genuine parts are used at a VAT registered garage warranty cannot be refused by dealerships.
