Hey Guys & Gals

Had some 501 Amber Bulbs come in at work, so I decided to test them out (they haven't been released for sale yet). They consist of 4 3mm amber LED's housed in a 501-package (i.e. the standard 5W Amber bulb).

Plugged em in, all looking good. Went to turn the hazards on, lights lit up perfectly, but didn't go off during the off stage of the flash. Turned the hazards off completely and they were still on  , but about 1/4 the brightness than when fully lit; this is what was happening when they were flashing.

Locked the car, left it for a while, came back to it, and they had turned off!

Moral of the story is, they ain't gonna work (although I would like to hear theories!)

its cos they're not drawing enough power, and the stilo being a modern car has a silly amount of computers - they dont understand.

you need to wire in a resistor in parrlelellelele to load it up properly.

they work fine on my cinq :D

I have read so much on here regarding fiat electrics that I think it would be best to leave well alone anything regarding electrical mods [if it aint broken dont fix it](y)
