So I believe I need either 71734738 or 71734739 for a Stilo MW. Mines a 53 plate with the split tailgate. Anyone bought one recently.

At the moment I have to open the glass bit and pull a wire to open the main boot and with 6 dogs is sometimes a little tricky.
There is one ending in 38 on eBay for £100 plus postage which seems extreme.

Anybody got any pointers as to how these are to repair if they can be repaired.

Thanks.

Might not work for you, but my switch failed and I fitted a secondhand one (what a PITA!) and it still didn't work. Resigned myself to using the key to open the hatch until...I fitted a new battery. Hey presto! The switch sprang into life again and has worked ever since.

What's easy go, as I was asked exactly that when I had to order the numberplate light unit and I didn't have a clue.

Keyless entry with Stop/Start button.

One of the many aerials for the system is in the boot or tailgate handle.

You could probably use a switch from a car with Easy/Go in a car without it, but not the other way round. The ECU would detect a missing aerial.

Thanks for that, I didn't even know that was a thing for the Stilo and this is my third now lol.

Isn't it funny, all those years and I never knew. Any way the old girl failed her mot but nothing major, Rear number plate lights, Got that today 2 weeks later from Fiat and £110 lighter and the headlight levelling motors bought online for £34.
Few advisories to do but nothing too major.

You have now got me wondering if indeed this will fit my car. How different could it be??

Do you mean retro fitting a complete EasyGo system?

It would be a nightmare.

9 additional control units, 9 aerials, electric steering lock, Stop/Start button, CID Key(s), Induction sensor to give temporary power to the CID if it's battery goes flat (fits under the panel below the handbrake lever. You can see 2 sets of curved lines moulded into the plastic where you place the CID). Vast amount of extra wiring, different side door handles and locks. I don't think you can program EasyGo into an existing body computer, so you'd need a new one.

No Davren, I meant the switch/button for the Easy go handle to put on mine.

Whilst I am on the subject, the new number plate light unit I noticed had a black wire coming out of it and into the plug. There are only four wires going into my plug car end and so this black one is redundant. Any ideas what it may be for??

There's 4 different part numbers for the SW number plate light.

735330928 With EasyGo
735330929 With opening tailgate window.
735330930 With both of the above.
735330927 With none of the above.

They probably all have different number of wires.

One ending in 929 is what I have and fitted with the odd wire, Works perfectly was just wondering about the odd wire lol. But it is a Fiat!!!! lol
