Got up this morning (obviously) had a great drive to work, in my nice clean shiny stilo ( waxed and cleaned yesterday) I just knew things where going to good!

Parked up as usual went into the office and started work, was in work for about an hour, then i heard a car alarm going off, looked out of the window - WHERES MY CAR GONE!!! ran down stairs thinking oh s*it someones nicked it, but no whats this its still there only its rolled backwards about 1.5car parking spaces and into the back of a GTV.

opened drivers door to move it foward only to find the handbrake fully on - but car not in gear (must be 1 of a few times its been left out of gear but nevermind). Pulled car foward not a thing wrong with gtv but rear bumper on stilo nackered - so ring local fiat garage to get a new bumper ordered and to be fitted while car is in for service this wednesday (36k), not a problem £400 inc service thankyou very much. LEft it at that thinking it moved foward over the car park ok?

just got back in car to go home and guess what the car is now sitting like its on eibachs and it definatley wasent like that this morning when i originally parked it. so to cut this short as you will already be bored, it now wont be moved without scraping and bangs and all sorts of horrible noises.

thing is, could this be a suspension fault that made it move in the first place? or a handbrake? and would all this be under warranty inc the rear bumper??
have to get it towed in morning its stopping outside of office until then.

Sounds pretty horrendous.

Was it a case of spontaneous failure of one of the front springs (been a few posts on spring failure) or have you found another cause?
