so, car engine cutting out, loose connection errors and a whole other bunch of them, like alternator and airbags.
i heard the pins are often the problems yet, i have it difficult spotting wich pin could be the bad one. the car only has 50k km and this is a real big bummer for me, i really like to drive this car and i hope i can DIY this...

Pins look good to be honest (for what i can see on the picture ). You could reflow them but make sure the pins dont go up or down.

Most people say the ECU is the problem but this can also be a battery or earth wiring problem.
 
Loose connection is a bad translation of Italian and should read lost connection.

Usually refers to a bad crank sensor which causes engine to cut out for an hour then once cooled down will usually restart, it will then run O.K. but sometimes erratically and eventually cut out again.

Sold my Stilo 10 years ago but at the time the sensor was about £15 main dealer and 10 minutes to fit it.
