My knob has become all stiff (ooer missus!)

I think everything is okay behind the scenes, since it all works... but it's occasionally notchy and hard to turn, especially in the cold weather... so I suspect the inactivity of the last 10 months has probably dried up any lubricant inside the mechanism or something.

How does the knob come off? Do I just pull it?

I want to see if I can give it a squirt of something lubey.

The knobs are behind the plastic so you cant just pull them , need to remove the radio and plastic trim first. After that you can pull them out but be gentle....

Hmm... I suspected it wouldn't be quite so simple.

I'll see what I can do with WD40/spray grease and by removing the panel where the ashtray would go... but I suspect I'll just have to be gentle with it, until I can take the panel off and do it properly.
