Does anyone know where the reverse light switch is located on a fiat stilo 1.9 JTD, pictures would be useful.

I have read that it is somewhere near the battery if you remove the front left wheel, but I am a car novice so will only know where it is located if I can see a picture. Thanks

This is the only picture I can find that shows the 1.9 JTD reverse light switch.

Thanks Davren, appreciate the pic.

I was hoping to see a picture which shows where it is located on the car, so I know how to access it.

Jack up the nearside front.. stick the beast on axle stands.

Remove the n/s front wheel and then the *lower* wheel arch liner.

>> The lower liner has its front/leading bolt hidden behind the larger/upper wheel arch liner, so you may be able to bend that out of the way enough to get a hand in there (10mm spanner) to unbolt it.. or it may be easier to remove the larger/upper wheel arch liner altogether.

Find the driveshaft, sticking out of the back of the hub. Follow it along, past the inner CV joint rubber bellows until you reach a metal "cup", that rotates with the driveshaft.

Grab the cup with your right hand. Your thumb knuckle is now right next to the switch highlighted in yellow in the photo above.

i hope i still reply to you in time, replacing that switch was one of my most recent jobs in my stilo, i took plenty of pictures of the process. Hope one of these help you with your question.
