Hi im new to the fiat forums and soon i will be starting my own project build on a fiat stilo 2.4 20v abarth. In the future i would like to get some higher horsepower figures (hopefully around the 400 mark to the wheels) but i am having trouble finding turbocharger kits available for the UK and im not even 100% sure if the engine can handle that sort of power... If anyone can help me or send some links then that would be great, email me if you want to as well. Thank you for your time

Nice one! :)

A 2.4 with a mild turbo and parts should be good for 220-230bhp if you want to use pretty much standard everything else.

I daresay you could get 400bhp out of it... but that would need a lot more modification and non-standard parts. The answer to "how fast can it go?" is "how much money have you got..?" :D

Hopefully someone who has done it (or similar) will be along to give you some tips.

In terms of getting 400 hp out of a 2.4 Stilo, you'd have much better luck collecting some rocking horse droppings :).

But, if you are that keen/desperate then a transplant with something like this

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-MUS...=2543989939969dfdd41126ea46c7a0916ce640fcc91b

would give you the 400 you're after :D.

Wouldn't be the first transverse FWD V8, but certainly would give the term torque steering a new meaning :slayer:

Nowadays everything is possible, 400 bhp is also possible just not worth it.
Talking price per performance point it would be expensive as f*** to boost this engine to 400, and we're talking custom pistons, conrods, camshafts, turbo, all the accessories around it. It will near or pass 10.000 in parts just to squeeze the number out of it and then you will need supporting mods like brakes, suspension, limited slip diff. Etc.
I'm not even talking about motor unbalance just for the starters you would be better of with 1.8 engine to try and squeeze more out of it.
In the end of a day if you want more hp swap it 2.0 20v turbo, 2.0 16v turbo has more support, and a lot more hp to unlock with proper tunning+parts upgrades

Well i saw alot of other posts about swapping the 2.0 20v into it but some say its possible with the 2.4, just takes alot more effort (which i am definitely willing to put in + the money)
