Hello everyone. I have a fiat stilo 1.2 from 2002 and my LCD display on my instrument cluster has become black (it is broken, from the sun probably) :bang: . It works but it is but it is not clear. So i ask if anyone has ever changed this display (not the whole instrument cluster) and if so, where can we get this as new spare part. Thanks in advance :)

LCD is soldered to the board, so if can not solder properly, it would be better to just replace the whole cluster. You should be able to get it for few euros at any scrap yard.
Just get one with less miles than your own and then do proxi aligement with MES.

I've replaced the LCD on my own console in the past, the LCD part actually just pushes on to the pins on the circuit board. The only hassle is that the face-plate and all the instrument needles need to come off to get at the board. Not easy to remove the needles without damaging the stepper motors (as I did.. and had to solder in new stepper motors). As Roll correctly says, it might be a lot easier to replace the whole cluster if you can find one with less mileage than your own.
