Reluctantly parted company with my 2006 1.4 last week. Reason was that Fiat will not be making another medium sized car when the Tipo is dropped in a couple of years' time so I got a new Tipo 1.4 Easy (95 hp). I wanted the same engine as in the Stilo because of familiarity with servicing requirements. Fortunately the Stilo has gone to a good home not far away. A friend has acquired it and he is more than capable of keeping it in tip top condition.
What a car it has been; by far the best I ever had. 110,000 miles including 5 trips to Europe (as far as Brno) in just over 13 years. Not much was needed during that time over and above service necessities (new rear suspension bushes, front spring, a radiator, new ignition coils, battery and a few rear calipers). No one can tell me that a Golf would have been more reliable and it certainly would not have been such value for money. I'll still be on the Stilo forum to offer any advice I can.
