My old beast (5 doors) has developed a lazy n/s rear door lock.

It locks okay but sometimes doesn't unlock at all (central locking via the remote key) and if it does unlock, 50% of the time the door opens and 50% of the time the door "half opens" - that is, the door will open but then catch on the latch.

If it catches on the latch, pulling the handle no longer works.. you have to push the door closed and then try again (although usually that locks it, so you have to "unlock" it using the key remote again).

I've sprayed the door latch with the Magic (WD40)... and that helped a bit.. but it's got worse lately.

To me it seems to be something in the Central Locking, since occasionally the door stays locked (the button stays down). I guess there is a an actuator which may be lazy.. or it's working fine but some lever, rod or bush might be stiff. ... but before I dismantle it, it might be handy to hear other opinions.

The car has manual windows etc. so only the door lock uses any leccy.
