I have been told from a Fiat dealer, that if your indicators have been set to flash, then the warranty on all the electricals is invalidated. Did anybody check this before they had their indicators made to flash?

I think he's telling you porkys.

Sounds like your dealer has had his staff trained in the land of make believe. If a dealer cannot change a factory setting in a Fiat using Fiat equipment without invalidating the Fiat warranty there is something very wrong. Get a 2nd opinion and/or report your dealer to Fiat for being a nonce!

They gotta be joking. My dealer set for me the flashing indicators without knowing it when the car came and they prepared to deliver it to me.I didnt know that it was not in standards to do that.

Dec2002 - 5D 80 Fiat Stilo Dynamic Metal. Loden Green ASR/MSR/Brake Assist - Dual Zone Climate - Comfort Pack

Does this have to be set by the dealer? or can I change this setting as I would like the lights to flash so I no I have locked it from a distance - Just me being a lazy sod lol:D

Hi

No, you can't do it, your dealer hooks up a computer, hits a few keys and kazzaaaam! It's done, two minutes flat.

Get them to do it, and don't take any nonsense from them![}:)]

Mervyn Stewarts dont start me on them nonces! [:(!] I found an A* Dealership in Portadown Shelbourne Motors , no hassle, while you wait service unlike them at Mervyn Stewarts!!! Must get them to get my lights to flash at the next service.

Well, they seemed pretty certain it would affect the warranty of all electricals. Oh well I'll try another dealer. Thanks

They are talking crap (at least not say anything worse :D). Go to another dealer and report them to FIAT...

Service time doesn't concern me as I get a courtesy car (motability) and it keeps my mileage down a bit. I'm only allowed 12000m a year. [V]
