Item 3, part number 7756713 in the ePER diagram above goes along the back of the engine.

These are the only other hoses in the 2.4 engine cooling system.

Thankyou mate.. i'll get one ,what harm can it do ha ha .. thanks so much i am getting proper fed up with the car at the moment.. had thermostat replaced last week..now this ...losing confidence which is a shame coz i love the car..

Yeah my thoughts as soon as it did a kettle impression.. but i have the hose here and its blown wide open about half way along the straight part..The guys are pretty good.. better than my local Fiat main dealer who have had nearly £4000 off me in the last 2 years.. DSC_0016.JPG

If you can't find the OE part *anywhere* then that looks like a simple piece of kit if you need to fabricate something yourself.

You would only need a short 90' bend section in red silicone and a short straight section in red silicone, with a joiner piece to join them. Any/most sellers of red silicone hoses will have something suitable in the right size.

My tip would be buy red hoses.. :D and get yourself a couple of stainless Jubilee clips... give them a buff with some chrome polish before you fit them. Then the beast will look like sauce whenever the bonnet is open for the next thing that's gone wrong... :D

Keep it going though lad.. you know you'll miss it when it's gone.

You could stick the wreckage on your missus' kitchen scales.. the one in the linky https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/oen/7...MIlf-M6KnC5gIVWODtCh2_YAgkEAAYAiAAEgIIa_D_BwE says it weighs 287g... so if yours is 285-290g then it's probably the same item.

Hi Ralph,
looks awesome..
i finally found one after much searching and a lot of help from the guys on here.
There were 2 different makes so i ordered the heavier one its OEM which isn't ideal but i always buy in 2's anyway ha ha.. i don't have a scales being a single slob...lol..
i have calmed down a bit now but its. costing me loads.. and as i don't have a garage or workshop i have to take it in.. i can do smaller jobs but not many engine jobs.. not in winter anyway.. they are certainly a challenge to work on and parts are hard to find in the UK...

If the pipe burst like this it could have been due to a stuck thermostat.
Not sure what your sequence of events were when replacing the thermostat.
Hope it weren't because of no antifreeze, might have been the reason for thermostat and waterpump and welsh plugs might be next if due to rust.
Pipe could also burst due to head gasket passing compression air into water chamber.
Or oil or petrol leaking onto hose for excessive period.
Good idea to check before just replacing the pipe, next weak point will be waterpump drain orifice or radiator hoses to fail if head gasket is yhe culprit.
Not being negative, just good idea to find reason for failure of thermostat and pipe.

Hi Mate.. yeah the Themostat was stuck open . i noticed the temp guage was slow to come up.. then not at all whilst driving but fine at rest. took it in got thermostat replaced.*4 days later the hose blew.. water pump* was replaced last year along with timing kit and inlet manifold ..also had a new crank sensor fitted (cost me a pretty packet...)...coolant was fine i get it serviced regularly.. ive ordered the hose from online shop .coming from Germany apparently . the guys at the garage are going to check everything when fiitted . run it up to temp etc,, so hopefully it'll be ok in the new year,,, to be brutally honest if it packs up again it'll be bye bye.. cant really afford it financially or emotionally.. spares are a sod to get too.might have to trade it in for something a lot more boring but reliable ,with easy spares access... love the stilo . but i aint got deep pockets.. all in its cost me the thick end of 7 grand... no joke..*
