Hi

When I bought my Stilo mJTD (2006) I remebered that the warning sound of "possible ice on road" was present. After reparation in some workshop that sound dissapeared. Generally that sound works fine when I recall the test sound in the software Multiecuscan, but normaly during the winter time it doesn't work. I have only blinking snow flake on the dahsboard. I searched every single thing in the software and I can't find any option to activate it. What happened and how to change it?

In the car's computer Menu (the round button on the dashboard, next to the windscreen pillar) there should be an option for "warning buzzer" or something similar. Is your volume set very low?

If you hear a "bing" when your fuel light comes on, or if you put the handbrake on lightly (but enough to light up the handbrake warning light) while the car is moving, then it's obviously loud enough.

If you don't hear the "bing" when you should (e.g. fuel low or handbrake on, while moving) then it could be related - volume is off or very low.

It's not a matter of warning signal volume. It just doesn't work in case of "ice on road" and I'm 99% sure it used to work in the past. Is it possible that in some versions of Stilo this sound was turned off from the begining?

I don't know then. Mine makes a "bing" so I thought every Stilo was the same.

But StiloCZ has recently posted about his indicators not flashing when he plips the remote locking, and it seems there are hidden menu settings that can be switched on and off using the Fiat MES software.

I don't know if every Polish Stilo had the audible ice warning switched off, or if yours is disabled but it didn't used to be... but anyway, there may be a way to make it audible again using the MES software. I don't have it, so I can't have a look for you.

As I mentioned before there is no any option in full version of MES software to activate "bing" signal due to low temperature outside. Maybe FIAT EXAMINER can help in this problem. I'm the owner of Fiat Stilo 2006 and I read on the other forum that in many different Fiat models after 2005 sound option connected with warning message on the display "Possible ice on road" is turned off. But as I said before, I'm strongly convinced that this sound in my car worked in the past.
