Had a warning beep fpr a week now and ignored it (like Id usually do) HOWEVER it turns out in this case not to be a false alarm.

I went to halfords to buy one only to find they dont carry stock of this particular bulb, they ordered two for me and theyll be in tom pm, total cost £1.04 :D

Ive just had a quick look and looks like Ive got to prise off a nog of plastic to get in there IS THAT RIGHT? I kind of thought Id see a couple of little screws to undo?

Steev,

Working at halfords I know we keep the bulb in-stock. Granted, our listings do not have the halfords or Bosch cross-references, and say its a special order; it's just a 10W festoon bulb, standard length, can't remember the number off the top of my head (I've had to buy 2 for each Stilo, bought both Bosch and halfrauds (Ring Bulb) so I know we do em!).

As for chaging it, you have to undo the two screws on either side of the lamp, and hook it out (use a small screwdriver). Mum's Stilo had the contacts break (common fault), which was repaired under warranty; be careful, and take it out easily and evenly.

Hope that helps!

Ive changed my rear number plate bulb, its just straight forward screws to get them out, look in your manual and it shows you exactly how to do it.

On the Halfords thing, maybe they stock them now, but when i wanted mine, they neither listed it or even suggested they could get it in, so i bought mine from Fiat

Thanks chaps, however I dont think its the same on the MW.

Just prised out the piece of placca and bunged in a new bulb :)

Didnt work though :(

The bulb that halfords sold me was the wrong one, so they rang fiat who also told them the wrong one (n) and in the end matched it by sight :)

Chap came out to the car park with a multimeter to inform me he got no reading

Any idea if this will be covered on warrebty?

Cheers
