Hi guys,

I know this is a common issue and I have scanned a few threads already but just wanted to make sure as I am new to Stilo's and new to DIY'ing.

I ran my Stilo 04 through the MOT today and it failed on the Airbag light, (also on headlight aim but quite confident I can do that with a bit of messing around).

I have seen a lot of people talk about the emulators you can buy from eBay and I was just wondering if people had first hand experience on which ones to buy (as there are a couple different ones) and if it was an easy job.

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

I have messaged a couple of the eBay sellers and asked if the emulator would work on my 04 plate as 'technically' it says they should...
Hopefully as a mechanic quoted me £200 for the genuine part to fix it.

Thanks for your advice.

I bought one a long time ago .. I had also to clean the contact of the grey connector under the seat otherwise I had to unconnected / reconnected some times ...

I was 3 years ago so, I don't have the ebay name ..

Well I was simply fiddling about with it earlier, disconnecting and connecting again and it has gone off. So absolute luck. Hoping my luck stays with me until my retest.

Thanks for everyone's help!

Ha yeah, I went in the conclusion that your sensor was broken, but, before that the first faillure come with bad contact in the connector.

The first fix would be to clean the connector or cut and direct solder the wire of the grey connector (3 wires)

If this do not fix the issue, then you need the simulating chip !
