Hello guys,

I've been runing 50/50 E85 for the past 2 years, more and you have a warning light (lean bla bla bla)

But, even if cold start are not so much an issue, you can clearly sens when driving some loss arround 3000 ...

Last friday, I installed a "kit" from a collegue, we added 15% increase timing and according to his own app, I hit 100% duty cycle at about 5500 and its homemade electronic kind of "cut" the power like a limitor ..
Ironicly, the car seems to be fine at 6XXX rpm without the +15% kit .. so on monday I will have a talk with him to clear things up.

BUT, the care feel so much better arround 3000 RPM ...

So, i'd like to change my injectors, I'm completly lost after a few hours on the internet on how much injector there is out there, and every one of them seems to be different in shape ....

The stilo have
0 280 155 770
3 bar, 137 g/min
14,5 Ohm

And they are hold but the fuel ramp..

Can someone help me ?

I need to dismount one, or buy a cheap spare one, I'll do that asap

edit: with the picture below and the measurement of the cap from the fuel rail I should be able to do a good estimation

In a mean time, here a few pics when I tried to do that 1 year ago ..

I dirst discovered that buying a EV6E bosch do not mean to have the same geometry ...

The red one is
0 280 155 940, and as you can see is too short
but it was 14.5ohm and 158.3g/min (it was to stay compatible with SP fuel)

Yeah, ~200cc what I have currently, I would need 30% more ..

Thanks, I'll take a look

Nevermind ... GTA 3.2L injector ..

I think I'm good to go ..

300cc is a lot .. it is a 50% increase when for E85 I would only need about 30% more ..

Nice research baykah?

Certainly helped me to learn more about injectors types and sizes.
I am just wondering what power you are making on your motor?
Because standard injectors still work to a proven 177kw

Yes of course they would work to 177kw but the thing is that running yhem on 177kw will set duty cycle on 100% which means that they would be spraying fuel instead of squirting and then you get a really bad fuel mixture inside the chamber .

I'm stock, 170PS

But, I'm currently 50/50 ethanol / fuel

Theory is, 100% ethanol is +30% fuel increase for the same power.

When I pass 50% the ECU detect a problem, and there is some power loss mid RPM range you can clearly feel.

Last week, we added an electronic device that added +15% in cylinder injection time. This cured the problem in mid range, however I am now unable to go past 5500RPM
My collegue device is indicating 100% dutycyle, maybe other E85 kit manage this better and allow full range.

The other solution is to mount bigger injector, so with those +25% I should be able to go 100% E85 and let the ECU + Lamba do its thing for proper engine running with minimal cost and work on the engine !

Only the cold startup will stay a problem, but I live in south france, It should work ...

I've contacted supplier on alibaba to get cheap quote :p

Thank you baykah for the explanation, it make sense now and is logical.

Are there a spesific reason you are running with ethanol?
As I have just googled and read that ethanol is very corrosive and will damage your fuel system, especially your fuel pump.

Yeah you can read a lot of things about ethanol ..

it is 0.6€ / L

SP95E10 (10% ethanol) is arround 1.50€ / L

(but there is a 20/30% more consumption with E85, still cheaper :p)

This morning car was awfull, jerky first gear ... I did change EV0 last spring ...
