Good day
My fiat stilo 1.6 16v has a idling problem. When starting the car after you been shopping or a while from the car and pulling out a parking for example, the car would idle extremely low and when you try to rev it,it will carry on idling low ie the revs won't go up. The car wont rev. Sometimes when you try to rev it will eventually come right. Sometimes I must switch off then on again then its right. When keeping the car at a rev it will hunt. (It will drop a few rpm and then back up and repeat) when driving it will drive smooth at times but sometimes it will hunt as well as explained above. At times I get a fuel smell and very very seldom a back fire. The car does not accelerate like it use to. Feels sluggish in 1st to 4th gear but at 5th its abit better.
I changed my fuel pump and cleaned both oxygen sensors. I have a cone filter on but it not a perfect fit. My box filter fell out when pulling out the driveway and cracked so I used that in mean time. Come to think of it,the car never done this before the box situation and started this problem after changing the filter.
I have a engine light on but was on before the box fell out. I just about have enough money to pay the car and can't even afford a diagnostic reading so I relay on all advice i get and perform easy maintenance myself.

My car is on 220 000km.

Any help and advice to what the problem is would be greatly appreciated thanks.

If following bbnation's instructions will not give you the results you are waiting for, then check these:
- Is the Check Engine light ON? -> Try to read out the saved error codes, that might help.

My 1.6 Stilo produced somewhat similar symptoms at roughly 220k kms, because one injector was dying.

How do I remove the actual injectors ?
Have you already checked everything? Before you even think about removing the injectors, you have to check all the previously mentioned things. Did you clean the TB? After that, did you measure the resistance at the connector for each injectors? If yes, and you realised that one of your injectors is dead, then it's time to prepare for the removal...

Also when driving at a constant speed my car will like misfire giving a feeling like you took your foot off the gas pedal for a moment but is accompanied by the speedometer falling down to 0 then back up then the car drives normal. Sometimes it does it more often and some times seldom. At times the speedometer will stay on 0 for entire journey. But car will still do that 'misfire' spark plugs are new, coil packs are still working. If you drive at a very slow constant speed,e.g. in bumper to bumper traffic then the car jerks continuously unless you press the clutch in and clutch control through traffic OR drive abit faster
