Hi, i have tried to search but could'nt find much, so Looking for your expert help again :).
Well we got airbag light prob but had that quite a while, this problem as happened before but ages ago and thought it gone,But car cluster working so been using car again now it is cutting out generally when up to temp and 10-20 mins of driving sometimes it starts straight back up,Others it as immobilizer (car with lock) flashing and won't start like this,Have fuel level sensor fault and ebd abs failure come up on dash,Cluster i'm using at moment from 1.4 so wondered if anything to do with that ?like 1.4 and 1.6 have few things different. The anti skid(traction) button ASR lights up on gearstick console but not o cluster. no light at ignition start either. But cutting out is big problem now. Can't rely on it always at lights or somewhere you don't want it too happen.Any help on these please.
Thanks

If you have a OBD reader it may be worth reading the codes in the ECU.

If you have a failing TDC sensor then that might have produced a stored error, although these things don't generally give errors, since they're largely passive.

The 1.4 clocks won't affect the 1.6 at all.. I ran my old beast without any clocks at all for a while, when my clocks were away getting fixed. The strange instrument behaviour might be because the immobilisor is getting confused by all the cutting out shenanigans.

I'd stick a new TDC sensor in there as a start... although it's worth poking around the ECU, BCM and fuseboxes in case you can see anything loose or strange.

Hi, Thanks for your input Ralf ye i searched and found post's about crank sensor/Rpm sensor and i checked gap which was quite big think the post/user said 0.20 is correct gap?.anyway created small problem while adjusting as there is bracket needs undo 2 bolts to adjust sensor in slightly and 1 bolt as no hex nut end?(just round) So i did stupid thing and tried to tap with 1 bolt loose and bracket broke!. i managed to get the 1 bolt which i loosened to grip bracket enough to re-position,but need to find replacement, car still cut out earlier this time alternator fail or similar from dash, have had high coolant asr failure.just ecu which not been investigated now. i have seen posts about the possible cause from this.is it ok to remove when battery is disconnect?.and is ok to open up to look without causes and more probs?.
Yes cluster is working fine only niggle is Asr(anti skid) button on gearstick console lights when pressed or at ignition but not on clocks.Doe's not light at all.but not big problem.have gone through most wiring connectors and earths.i did take engine cover off other day thought maybe it help if ecu is getting to hot but cut out earlier and few mins before could start again as immobiliser light flashing.thanks for your reply
