Hello, Thanks for your reply's :)

Yes fuse tray all ok,one of the maxi fuse copper contacts had oxidized but was not bad enough to cause any probs.Cleaned all and put everything back together.I was expecting delivery of clocks today but not arrived,Tomorrow hopefully.
Can anyone give me rough idea of price/cost for send/repair of my cluster if thats the problem?.Thanks for your help.Hoping to find out if cluster is problem for sure.

yellowstilo will fix your clocks for less than the places that advertise on eBay and the likes. You just have to post your clocks to Holland is the only slightly awkward part but Royal Mail isn't toooo dear (but make sure you insure the parcel for £100, since they might otherwise lose it).

Hello Again! Sorry for double post but just to fill you in with where i have got to.Well clocks came today and i got straight to it, Removed original Cluster and fitted other one and ta da! perfect :).I'm a happy Chappie lol.
The father-in-law over the moon so bonus.
30 pound i paid for clocks from the bay,Removed from a 1.4 Stilo work great. So definate result to know for sure it was cluster.
mileage is 90,000 tad over,Original where under 55.000 so will need to sort original 1 for sure. But atleast he can drive car for now with instruments working. He is oldschool and would'nt drive it because of problems.Anyway been a big help on here,And thank you for it greatly for it.
I'm just happy they worked and no it is the problem.:)

P/s Anyone no anythink about diagnostic plug pinout wiring?.I have a elm 327 vs 1.4 reader but for my ford focus,Could i re-wire it to fit stilo?.
Save me buying another.

Thanks anyway great help i received here :D

Hi, Just like to say nevermind about diagnostic socket,I never took much notice at first But after looking closer the obd plugs are different so ignore that question please.Sorry i posted another post but have found it was a cluster problem and with help from you guys i think i have solved this problem so think this post is finished,Thanks again (y)

Hello, Sorry to start another post here but thought i share with you what i have found out.Well as u no cluster died and nothing worked so found a set from 1.4 stilo and installed in car and worked great, other than mileage everything fine.
so as the dead clocks were lying around i seen threads about changing dials and removing needles. So thought may aswell have a try,I am quite mechanical minded so had a go at removing needles which 3 came off perfect Speedo the spindle came out with needle.but carried on and got down to pcb board.
there was evidence of water/Condensation around led lights(whiteish) so gave both sides os board good clean with toothbrush and contact cleaner.
Then noticed the capacitor had a slight bulge at top so ordered new 1.
when it arrived i took old one out and soldered new cap in,Also re-soldered all pins for main plug and few other solder joints so nice and shiney again.
I put it all back together noting marks made in pencil where needle positions where.i re-installed in car to find it all working again great other than speedo not working,But thought result so i took cluster back out and went back to solder iron,I un-soldered the 4 pins for the speedo stepper motor and changed it from other set of clocks .Soldered the speedo motor into original clocks and put it back together once more,Now fingers crossed i re-installed into car and now it all works perfect,Just as it once did.
just thought be good to share as maybe there will be others who could save there self some cash. You have to be carefull yes with removing needles,By using 2 tea spoons small ones you put 1 each side at base of needle under the round plastic cover and use as a lever keeping both sides equal pessure and gently but needs some pressure to lift up,But remember to mark the position the needle rests at before attempting.
as we had spare set we had bit less to lose .So worth getting spare set cheap first. But well worth it if it repairs just as ours did.
With help from this forum and guides it was about medium difficulty,So long as u ok with soldering iron and not too heavy handed;).
But happy that original mileage back and all works fine .
So would definately recommend giving it a go if u in same situation.Lcd flickered orange and that was all at start.
Very pleased with myself and great turn out,Thanks Again(y)
