Hello. I have a 1.6l stilo and i'm wondering if i can install brake calipers from abarth.

The Abarth calipers, discs and caliper mounting brackets are bigger than the 1.6 ones, so you would have to change all of those components.

I think the Abarth caliper mounting bolt holes are spaced wider, so you may also have to change the hubs. The bearings in the Abarth hubs may also be bigger, so you may also have to change driveshafts.

Depending on what size wheels you have on your 1.6, you may also have to change them to accommodate the bigger discs and calipers.

what problem are you trying to solve?

I solved my fade problem without bigger disks, by using some better disks and pads, but this didn't solve the aesthetic issue :)

Thanks for your answers. I don't have any problem with my brakes. I just want to upgrade my brakes considering that i can buy Abarth calipers with mounting brackets very cheap from ebay. My rims are 17" so i will not face space problem. My only concern is if i have to replace the hubs and driveshafts.

You can upgrade the front Stilo calipers from the Abarth.
The mounting holes are the same.
You will need the calipers, the caliper bracket and the discs(281mmX26mm thick).

The discs are much heavier.

I have them fitted to my Bravo. combined with mTec drilled & slotted rotors and some Bosch pads they are great.
The Stilo Space saver wheel still fits .. think it's 15inch.
And i know somebody who upgraded to the Stilo Abarth brakes on a 1.6 Stilo.

The Caliper mounting hols are 100mm apart (measured from center of holes)
